METHODIST CHURCH NEVIS CIRCUIT NOTICES, REMINDERS AND UPDATES JUNE 02 - 16, 2024 LID District Theme: “Trusting God in Difficult Times: Transforming Obstacles into Opportunities” HURRICANE SEASON 2024 We are now in the 2024 Hurricane Season and all are encouraged to ensure that the necessary preparations are made. You are also encouraged to keep abreast of local storm information as issued by the Government Met Office, the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), or the Nevis Disaster Management Department (NDMD) as we continue to be vigilant during the Hurricane season. Congregations are asked to review and/or adjust their Emergency Preparedness plans to be able to respond, if necessary. “JOURNEY TO ENCUENTRO 2024” WALK-A-THON The “Journey to Encuentro 2024” Walk-a-Thon will be on Friday, 14 June 2024. More details will follow. ELOCUTION COMPETITION As part of the observation of Children Lord’s Day, a Circuit Children Elocution Competition will be held at the Jessups Community Centre on Sunday, 9 June 2024, starting at 4:30 pm. Come and join the children as we celebrate Children Lord's Day. LID DEVOTIONALS VIA WHATSAPP This week’s Devotionals will be conducted by the Nevis Circuit. CONGRATULATIONS AND CELEBRATIONS We extend birthday and anniversary wishes to all who are celebrating this week. We remind and encourage you to offer thanks to Almighty God for his goodness and mercy throughout the years of your life. CONDOLENCES AND THANKGIVING SERVICES We pray that the peace of Christ will dwell with all who are mourning at this time, including; The family of the late Shanika Mulley (Gingerland), including her sister, Javel, and aunts, Sisters Venetta Hobson-Moving, Jasmine Herbert and Vernareen Herbert and their families. The Thanksgiving Service for the life of the late Bro. William Griffin will be held at the Charlestown Methodist Church (under the Tent) on Saturday, 8 June 2024, starting at 10:00 am; The Thanksgiving Service for the life of the late Sis. Oretha Isaac will be held on Monday, 3 June 2024 at the Wesley Methodist Church (St. Kitts) starting at 10:00 am. Interment will be at the Clifton Methodist Church Cemetery, Cotton Ground, at 2:00 pm.
