Church Etiquette Continued Arrive on Time Arriving a few minutes early demonstrates respect for God, the service, and those around you. It allows you to settle in, prepare your heart, and avoid distracting others once worship has begun. The Gift of Reverence When we enter our worship centre, let us remember that we are crossing a threshold from the community's noise into God's presence. Please offer the gift of stillness and reverence to your neighbours in the pew and to the Almighty. All conversation should cease as the prelude music begins, and the Preacher, the Steward on Duty, and the Chapel Choir process. Let us make this sacred space and our time of worship a period of undisturbed communion. Engage Respectfully in Worship: During hymns and songs, let us participate with enthusiasm, lifting our voices in praise. During prayers, let us bow our heads and open our hearts. When scripture is read and the sermon is delivered, let us listen attentively, ready to receive God's Word. Please reserve conversations for before and after the service. During the service, let us maintain a reverent silence that allows everyone to focus on worship without unnecessary disruption.
